One of the popular names of TRNC, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sağsan was appointed as the founding rector of the university.
Rector Sağsan continues to work hard both in TRNC and Turkey within the scope of the university’s promotional activities. Sağsan, who came to Ankara to attend the 2023-2024 Academic Year Opening Ceremony upon the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, met with our International Health Tourism Institute President Dr. He also had a meeting with Fatih Seyran. During the meeting, Seyran gave Sağsan information about the work of the International Health Tourism Institute and touched upon the possible cooperation between Turkey and TRNC within the scope of health tourism. Rector Sağsan stated that they are ready to take effective steps in the field of health tourism in TRNC, which is an important destination in terms of tourism activities. In this context, Sağsan stated that multidisciplinary training can be given in the field of international health tourism management within the World Peace University and said, “One of the new trends in the world is undoubtedly health tourism. Türkiye is among the remarkable countries in the field of health tourism. We must also carry out active work for the TRNC in this field. “In this sense, we will be very pleased to cooperate with the International Health Tourism Institute, which attaches importance to innovative and academic approaches, in the coming period.”
